Ever since the passing of you, papa, time seems to have slown down. Though life doesn’t. Sometimes it both irks and hurts me how life just goes on, after you’ve passed.
Sometimes I’m distracted and busy, so I don’t realize it, but when I do, I realize, “Man, time doesn’t stop.”
Time just goes on and on.
Just the other day, one of my mum’s cell group members shared with her – Yen, Daniel is no longer coming back to earth, he’s just waiting for us to join him in heaven.
Oh, how painfully true.
Yet, in a strange sort of way, I’m comforted, that at least, I will see him again.
Pa, I love you. I truly miss you. I miss your gentle prayers and words. You hunching over doing gardening and tending to the fishes.
I miss you.
Pa, I’m moving on slowly here, as day by day, I’ll do my best to make you proud.
And I’ll keep doing my best, to make you proud. To make Jesus proud.
