I write about my own calls, mistakes, and the money and family decisions behind them — from a working operator on the ground. For people building:

No, I didn’t grow up with any of this.
- No money knowledge. My parents fought about money for as long as I can remember — since I was eight. Too little money, too many days to the next paycheck, and too many fights about it. Ah, the damn money fights.
- No business sense. Neither of my parents ran a business. The day I handed in my resignation to go freelance, my mum screamed at me to call my boss and beg for my job back.
- No father to ask the hard questions. My dad died when I was 32 — before most of those questions had even shown up.
So I built it the slow, expensive way: hard knocks, and most of the mistakes in the book.
Yet I still sold a business for seven figures. Rebuilt another into a seven-figure physiotherapy business, and built a seven-figure property company alongside it. And I’m raising a family on purpose — with love and intention, instead of by inherited default.
This is the guidance I wish someone had handed me. Written down, for whoever’s a few steps behind.
