Horoscopes Are a Lie. Stop Letting the Stars Tell You Who You Are.
If you’re still checking your sign to figure out your future, you’re not being spiritual—you’re being spiritually deceived.
OF COURSE I used to read horoscopes...when I was a teenager. Everyone did it. My friends, my ex.
No one told me it’s bad.
Back when newspapers were still a thing, I’d flip to the back pages to see what “Gemini” had in store for me (I’m a June king ha).
Keywords: Witty, social, upbeat, eager, talkative, expressive, playful
Best traits: Curious, smart, creative, communicative, funny, adaptable
Worst traits: Noncommittal, easily bored, impulsive, fickle
And then came the internet—daily predictions, zodiac memes, birth charts, TikTok “astro-girls” telling you who you should date based on your moon sign.
It felt personal.
Mysterious.
Even a little spiritual.
But here’s what I started noticing:
People would read, “You’ll have a bad relationship week,” and MAKE it true—picking fights, stonewalling their partner, blaming the stars for their bad behavior.
They’d read “You’re meant for abundance,” and then sit back, doing nothing, expecting the universe to deliver gold to their bank account automatically like it’s some cosmic Amazon Prime.
I mean, if it’s just for fun and jokes…I dont mind at all. But when people take it really really seriously…goodness. What a joke.
It’s not spiritual. It’s not mystical.
It’s manipulation dressed up as “guidance.”
Here’s Why It’s Dangerous:
Horoscopes are mass-produced identity scripts for people who haven’t found their real identity in Christ.
They sound specific, but they’re vague.
They feel spiritual, but they’re hollow.
They give direction, but it’s not rooted in truth—it’s rooted in fear, fate, and falsehood.
Most people don’t follow horoscopes because they believe in astrology.
They follow because they’re lost and looking for someone—anyone—to tell them who they are and what to do.
But that’s not guidance.
That’s…at best, misdirection pretending to be guidance.
The Word of God says something very different:
“As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” — Proverbs 23:7
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.” — Jeremiah 1:5
“Do not be conformed to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” — Romans 12:2
Your birth date might tell people when to send you a cake.
But it does not tell you who you are, what you’re here for, or where you're headed.
Only God can do that.
What Actually Shapes You:
Your beliefs — what you agree with will either bless or bind you.
Your choices — every day, you're building a future, brick by brick.
Your obedience — God's will for your life isn't in the stars. It's in His Word.
Your identity in Christ — that’s what sets you free.
You were born once, yes.
But if you’re in Christ—you were born again for something far greater than a horoscope could ever offer.
Stop Consulting the Stars. Start Following the One Who Made Them.
I get it.
We all want to feel seen.
We want clarity.
Direction.
Purpose.
But don’t trade the voice of God for the voice of a vague zodiac.
Don’t let algorithms and astrologers define your destiny.
And for heaven’s sake—don’t blame your sin on your star sign.
The heavens declare the glory of God (Psalm 19:1),
but they don’t get to decide your future—God does.
Final Thought
You are not a Scorpio.
You are not an Aquarius.
You are not your rising moon sign.
You are a son. A daughter. A disciple. A child of the King.
You’re not bound by the stars.
You’re called by the One who made them.
Live like it. Choose like it. Build like it.
